![]() ![]() Runic Echoes is typically the first item you want to to be buying. These are just runes specific to Nidhogg’s Nidalee and his style of play, so please don’t flame in the comments about how Electrocute is better or something □ Also, just as a reminder for anybody reading, I’m not saying these are the best and only runes to run on Nidalee. Nidhogg also has a Lethal Tempo Nidalee he runs, but it’s not something he plays as commonly so I’m not too familiar with the rune page or setup. Coup De Grace for obvious reasons, Sudden Impact since you are pouncing so much and Ravenous hunter since you constantly have opportunities to heal from your abilities from both Human form and Cougar form. ![]() Alacrity gives you that little boost in attack speed which makes fitting autos in-between your combos a LOT easier. It’s a phenomenal skirmishing rune for Nidalee, as most of her fights revolve around her engaging and then reengaging on an opponent. Conqueror is fairly easy to proc, and lets you scale better than Electrocute into the late game. This mix of Precision/Domination plays perfectly with the item build and style of play Nidhogg brings to the table. NIDHOGG’S NIDALEE RUNES (CONQ, TRIUMPH, ALACRITY, COUP DE GRACE, SUDDEN IMPACT, RAVENOUS HUNTER): Here’s a quick example of that if you’re interested □ His ability to stay calm and not let things get to him is something that elevates his gameplay. His Youtube is full of wonderful theory crafting of champions in high elo, including but not limited to: Lethal Tempo Karma Jungle, Conqueror Ekko, Lethal Tempo/Conqueror Nidalee, and some other unique builds thrown around here and there! On top of that, Nidhogg is one of the most positive and calm faced players I’ve seen in higher elo. Since then, he has moved onto other champions such as Nidalee. Previously, he was (self?) named the best J4 in the world. He is most known for being a high Elo (up to Challenger) player who messes around with theory crafting and mashes his buttons a LOT (lmao). Nidhogg is a Twitch streamer and Youtube content producer. I’d love to give a quick breakdown and introduction into this player, and to Nidalee, for anyone willing to spend a few minutes learning something new. The man plays along with many different builds and rune sets for a variety of champions, AND explains in depth the reasoning for each one of them. Another great aspect of his play is his love for theory crafting and limit testing. On top of that, not only does he provide a wealth of game knowledge, Nidhogg even goes as far as to explain most (if not all) his decision making during the game. Nidhogg is one of the few people I’ve found recently who makes his gameplay actually exciting to watch. ![]() Archbishop Thordan VII would ultimately utilize the faith in the legend of King Thordan and his Twelve Knights to become a primal. If you haven’t already watched this guy showcase his Nidalee, you’re missing out. All other details, including what became of Nidhogg's other eye and the time of peace with dragons were omitted from written history, with only the highest church officials being aware of what really happened.įor a millenium, the legend of King Thordan and his Twelve Knights endured as a pillar of faith among the Ishgard's commonfolk, as they suffered centuries of war by Nidhogg and his horde. Then Thordan's son Haldrath took his father's spear and avenged him by taking one of Nidhogg's eyes. Thordan fearlessly engaged the colossal wyrm in battle that lasted seven days and cost him the lives of half of his twelve knights, but was pushed into the chasm by his men who was enthralled by the wyrmking. In time, the truth behind Thordan's conflict with the wyrmking was altered and revised by church scripture: King Thordan would be depicted as a visionary who led their ancestors to Coerthas in search of the "Promised Land," with Nidhogg setting upon them as they attempted to build the Steps of Faith. The remaining four knights became stewards of Ishgard and founded the four High Houses. When Haldrath decided to abdicate the throne in remorse for what they had done, he and three others chose to go their seperate ways. Thordan and four of his knights were slain, with Nidhogg driven off by the loss of his eyes. ![]() Nidhogg was the first to learn of this treachery and attacked them in an epic battle. With his Twelve Knights, they betrayed Ratatoskr and murdered her to obtain her eyes, consuming them. Knowing that the source of a great wyrm's power is in their eyes, King Thordan coveted the power. Two hundred years prior, through Saint Shiva allowing her beloved Hraesvelgr to devour her so their souls would remain together, there was peace between the dragons and the Landlords. Thordan, first of his name, lived in the time of founding of the city-state of Ishgard during the beginning of the Sixth Astral Era. ![]()
